Joseph Santangelo

Joseph Michael Santangelo of Pride, La was born March 19th, 1939 in Independence, La and passed on Friday, September 30th, 2022 at the age of 83.

He was a business owner and self-employed butcher for all of his life.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as fishing, hunting, taking care of his cattle, and being on his tractor.

He is survived by his loving wife Elayne for almost 60 years, his two Children; Michael Santangelo and wife Sherri, Andrea Leader and husband Phillip, three Grandchildren; Brooke Santangelo, Gabrielle Mitchell, and Bryce Mitchell, one Great Grandchild; Alexis Brown, and three Brothers; JC, Russell, and Larry Santangelo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Tony and Frances Santangelo, Stepmother; Ida Santangelo, Brothers; Tony and Kelly Santangelo, and Sisters; Mary Shelton, Sena St. Angelo, and Lena Calandro, and Grandson; Brandon Santangelo.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 from 1:00 pm until service time at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Calandro, Steve Lansing, Phillip Leader, Dana Mitchell, Bryce Mitchell, and Chris Fresina.
