Joseph Mark Toniolo

Joseph Mark Toniolo, a native of Jersey City, NJ and a resident of New Roads, LA, passed away at Pointe Coupee General Hospital on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the age of 75.

Joe earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Rutger’s University and a Master’s Degree from NYU in Traffic Engineering.  He worked for several engineering companies including Jacob’s Engineering in New York City.  He loved music, art, and movies.  Joe was a proficient pianist, where he could read and play classical music like Mozart and Chopin.  He knew how to play the piano by ear.  He played commercial gigs and loved to combine classical with popular music.  Joe also volunteered his time with churches, assisted living homes, and art council events.

Joe is survived by his wife, Mary Lana Bernard Toniolo; children, Reid “Bucky” Bernard McLellan, Loveda Noelle McLellan Williams and husband George, Brett “Flaco” Crawford McLellan; grandchildren, Carson Reid McLellan, Audrey Leigh McLellan, Charlotte Eve McLellan, Georgia Noelle Williams Dumas, Alexandria Marie Williams; great-granchild, Wyatt Dumas; brother, Richard Toniolo and his wife Geraldine; aunt, Rosalie Cordasco; nephews and nieces, Lucille Toniolo, John Toniolo and wife Kerry, Lucia Toniolo, Cecilia Toniolo, Maryanne Waldron and husband Robert, Tierney Waldron, Tristan Waldron, Jordan Waldron; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mary Toniolo.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
