Joyce Russo

Joyce Yvonne Norris Russo, age 78, passed away on April 11, 2017, at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Georgetown, Louisiana.

She is survived by daughter, Theresa Russo; and sons, Paul and wife Michelle of Prairieville; Tony of Baton Rouge and fiancée Laura Richardson; and Steve of Baton Rouge and fiancée Sherri Harlan. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Lauryn Russo Felder (husband Chris); and Ryan (fiancée Blair Huval), Jordyn, Anthony, Alexandra, and Marisa Russo; and two great grandsons whom she adored, Brayden and Peyton Felder. Joyce was also survived by two brothers, Huey Norris and wife Dorothy of Georgetown; and Gerald Norris and wife Juanita of Deville, Louisiana; and sister Mildred Hayes of Baton Rouge; as well as sisters-in-law Joan May and Beatrice and Lorena Russo, all of Baton Rouge; and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Tony "Bo" Russo; as well as her parents, Lee and Pearl Sweat Norris; and two brothers, Jim and Dorman "Doc" Norris.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 17, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home, with services at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Tony, Paul, Steve, Ryan, and Anthony Russo; and Chris Felder.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
