Judy Boling

A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Buhl, Ala., she died Tuesday, June 9, 2009. There will be a memorial service at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Monday, June 15, at 10:30 a.m. Family visiting will be at the church from 9 a.m. until service time. She is survived by her husband, John R. Boling; two daughters, Melissa Ryan and husband Tim and Karen Young and husband Alan; a sister, Nell Fitzgerald; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Kay Boling; parents, Patton and Ellen Burroughs; and a sister, Eleanor Walters. She was a member of United Methodist Women, Southeast Ministries and AARP. She had recently celebrated her 56th wedding anniversary at The Carpenter House with her husband, John, a native of Elrod, Ala. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either St. Joseph Hospice Foundation or Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
