Juliette Marie Faucheaux Perkins departed from us peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, with family holding her hand.
She was born on July 25, 1930, in Thibodaux, Louisiana, where she met her beloved Guy August and moved to Baton Rouge where they happily lived until Guy departed in 2018.
Juliette graduated from Thibodaux High School, and went on to raise and care for her family with her devoted husband, Guy. She was a member of the St. George Altar Society and was devout in her faith. Juliette enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing Bourré, sewing, and spending time with her family. She is remembered for her beautiful words like the simple reminder, "life is a mystery".
She is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Guy August Perkins; parents, Inez Melancon Faucheaux and Prudent Faucheaux; daughter, Sheila Ann Perkins; sister, Rosa May Faucheaux Hebert; and brothers, Prudent Faucheaux Jr., Herman Faucheaux, Norman Faucheaux, Clay Faucheaux, Wilson Faucheaux, and Nelson Faucheaux.
Juliette is survived by her children, Joseph Louis Perkins Wheat (Lamont) and Mark Andrew Perkins (Rachel); sister, Susie Faucheaux Toups; grandchildren, Brian Louis Elrod (Adrienne), Cassie Russell, Randy Russell, Kyle Perkins, and Claire Perkins; great-grandchildren, Austin Elrod (Karli), Chasity Bergeron, Destiny Evans, and Hunter Russell; great-great grandchildren, Emersyn Elrod and Taytum Elrod.
An inurnment will be held on July 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Landmark of Baton Rouge, and the caring and the compassionate staff at LifeSource Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
She left no doubt in the hearts of family, friends, and even strangers that kindness and humor can be found in everyone.
