Julia Drago

December 5, 1979 — February 17, 2024

Our precious Julia Lea, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 44. Her departure marks the end of a courageous battle with cancer that she faced with grace and resilience.

Born on December 5, 1979, Julia lived a life filled with love and dedication. She began her professional journey by earning an associate degree in information systems and worked as an IT technician at Exxon. Julia would then pursue a career in the insurance industry as a licensed property and casualty insurance producer. For seventeen years, she worked alongside her family at Smith Insurance Agency, where she served as an agent and supervisor.

Julia was known for her fearlessness, humility, and unwavering ambition. Her talent and creativity shone through in her love for woodworking and gardening. However, her greatest treasures were her husband and their children. The moments spent together as a family were always filled with boundless love, joy, and happiness that will forever be cherished.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dustin Drago; her children, Aidan Diez, Jaxx Diez, Jett Diez, and Talon Drago, as well as her previous spouse, Jonathan Diez. Julia is also survived by her grandmother, Connie Smith; mother, Johanna Smith; stepfather, Norman Chenevert; sisters, Meghan Plaisance; Ivllon Chenevert Lewis; brother, Dax Chenevert; father, Zane Barham; sister Niki Barham; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and friends who held a special place in her heart.

Julia was preceded in death by her grandfather, Raymond Smith; Uncle, Herbert Smith; grandparents, Lamar Barham and Margaret Barham; as well as Uncle Bill David Barham.

The impact of Julia's kindness and strength will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy of love lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
