Katherine Jowers Watson

Katherine Jowers Watson went home to be with her heavenly father on November 13, 2024, at the age of 92. She was a native of Verda, Louisiana and a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana. Katherine was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Watson Posey (Billy) and Sharon Watson Lambert (Paul); grandchildren, Sonya Levert (Mark), Sherri Broussard (Steve), Brandon Posey (Valda), Jason Lambert, Dana Lambert (Kristina), Christopher Watson, Chanelle Watson, and Ashlee Androwski; and great-grandchildren, Destiny Blanchard (Ryan), Dustin Levert, Aubre and Avery Broussard, Landon Posey, Gracee and Alexis Lambert, and Rodney Watson. Katherine was so excited this year when she became a great-great-grandmother to Carter Lambert and Braelynn Blanchard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Watson; son, Rodney E. Watson; daughter, Cynthia Androwski; grandsons, Darrin Norton, Michael Androwski, and Dewayne Dykes. 

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. 

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
