A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 81 and a native of St. Louis. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, March 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m. Visiting at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jack Nutter. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald W. and Jayme Bollinger McKenzie; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. McKenzie; parents, William and Lydia Harms Blanner; sisters, Helen Blanner Harris, Florence Blanner Grossgloss and Lorene Blanner Schmid; and brothers, William Blanner, Elmer Blanner and Arthur Blanner. She was a member of St. Louis King of France Church and an active member of United Commercial Travelers.
