Lawrence Lessard, Jr.

Lawrence E. “Larry” Lessard, Jr. passed away at his home on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the age of 85.

He graduated from Catholic High School in 1954. He eventually served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from Chemtura (formerly Uniroyal) after 30 years. He served his community as a volunteer firefighter. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and gardening.

Larry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Jean “Jeanie” Lessard; sons, Eric P. (Karen), Jon F., Craig S., Brian C., Dean R. (Dara), and Keith J. Lessard; grandchildren, Morgan, Alyson, Rachel, Lauren, Kristen, and Chase; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Alice Lessard; and in-laws, Eugene and Vivian Alexander.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, June 28, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church.
