Lillian W. Osborne was born on February 15, 1939, and passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the age of 86.
Lillian was born in Amite, Louisiana. She spent 25 years as a collections officer for the Attorney General’s Office of Louisiana. Lillian and Rodney were both longtime members of Parkview Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Lillian loved to share her love for Jesus with everyone she met. Her love for Rodney, her children, and grandchildren was evident in all she said and did. She was a talented seamstress and home decorator. She always loved to cook for her friends and family. Lillian was a woman of few words, but a force to be reckoned with.
Lillian is survived by her husband of 28 years, Rodney Osborne of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; daughter, Debra Jones Shields of Loranger, Louisiana; stepdaughter, Christina (LJ) Hebert; stepson, Michael (Shelby) Osborne of Houma, Louisiana; sisters, Kathleen (Sam) Parnell of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, and Micaleen (Kenny) Husser of Loranger, Louisiana; brother, Jimmy Wilkinson of Loranger, Louisiana; grandchildren, Lee T. Jones, Jr., Jamie McClendon, Jennifer Jones, Joshua Jones, Rickey Artus, Nanette Albaral, Michael Artus, Daniel Shields, Brian Jones, Neal Daigle, Tabitha Daigle, Jenn Daigle, Krystal Daigle, Christopher Jones, Sumer Jones, Brooke Jones, Aiden Osborne, Averie Osborne, Samantha (Chaz) Clement, and Patricia Soule; and 35+ great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Cain and Vivian Estelle Wilkinson; daughter, Tammie Lynnet Jones Daigle; sons, John B. Jones, Lee T. Jones, Carl D. Jones, and Dorrence Jones; and brothers, Edwin Wilkinson, John Cain Wilkinson, Jr., and Merril Wilkinson.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Hospice of Baton Rouge for their care and compassion in caring for Lillian during her Alzheimer's and Dementia journey.
Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, January 3, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until services are held at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Brother Merlin Liverman of Parkview Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
