Lloyd “Bill” William Averette, 75 of Baton Rouge, passed away on February 2, 2022, in Baton Rouge.

Bill was born in Baton Rouge to Lloyd and Maythel Averette on June 12, 1946. He graduated Glen Oaks High School. He served three years in the Army during the Vietnam War. He is retired from Shell Chemical, Geismar, LA.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Maythel Averette; and his second wife: Myle Averette.

He is survived by his daughters, Mechelle Cuendet and Shari Morin; son, Hung (Alex) Averette; grandchildren, Brady Adams, Brandon Morin and Cameron Morin; siblings, Russell Averette and Sue Yglesias.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Morin, Cameron Morin, Baxter Rowley, Jason Morin, and Brady Adams.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, beginning at 12:30 PM until services at 2:30 PM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

The family of Lloyd W. Averette wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Forrest General Hospital in Mississippi, Promise Hospital in Baton Rouge, and Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge.
