Long Mai

Long Mai, age 74, passed peacefully with family beside him on Saturday, January 30th. He was born on July 20, 1946 in Bui Chu, Vietnam. In 1978, he left Vietnam, making sacrifices for his family to come to the United States and start a new life. We are all able to live on for many generations to come from his determination. He will always be remembered as a beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.  He is survived by his wife Cuc Vu; his daughters, Thuy Mai and Mary Maddie; his son Hoan Mai; his grandchildren, Lillian, Lethan, Cruz, and Carson, along with many other extended relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. A third visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass to begin at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
