Lovie Jean Morgan

August 22, 1929 — September 8, 2023

Lovie Jean Morgan was born on Monday, August 22, 1929, in Kosciusko, MS, and entered the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 8, 2023.

Lovie lived a beautiful 94 years on this earth, and during those years she touched the lives of all she met. She spent many years with her late husband running their business, Ace Plumbing Supply. She enjoyed sewing clothes for her loved ones, singing in the choir at her church, Chapelwood Church of God, and cooking for her family.

Lovie is proceeded in death by her daughter, Madilyn Anne; her loving husband of 64 years, Raymond J. Morgan; her parents, Wiley and Leta Moore; her 2 siblings, Charles Moore and Bonnie Gwin; and her grandson Brandon Joseph Landry.

She is survived by her 4 daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Landry, Vickie (John) Tunnard, Sandra Price, and Stacie (Brian) Birch; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 12:30 until celebration of life service at 2:30 conducted by her dear friend, Bobby Durr. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers are Jeffrey Durr, Todd Landry, Kevin “Bubba” Dunn, Rodney Whittington Jr., William “Billy” Lemoine, and Dylan Harris.  Honorary pallbearers are Blacyn Harris, Jonathan Harris, and Jasper Landry.

The Morgan family would like to thank the care givers at Baton Rouge Hospice and Laurie Masichuk for their compassionate and dedicated care for Lovie.
