Lucy Taylor

A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 11:01 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 82 and a native of Leesville. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Thursday, Sept. 24, from 1 p.m. until graveside service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at 2 p.m., conducted by Jay Coleman, pastor of Journey Church. Survived by two daughters, Valarie T. Calloway and husband David, and Tammie Sue Taylor; son, Clayton K. Taylor; brother, William E. Bill Johnson; six grandchildren, Shannon Laird and husband Joel, Kristie David and husband Travis, Misty Richard and husband Harold, Valarie Taylor, K.C. Taylor and Candice Taylor; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert C. Taylor; sister, Clarice Indest; brother, Joseph B. Johnson; and parents, Oscar O. and Margaret D. Johnson. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.
