A homemaker and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at her home. She was 76 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, May 21, from noon until religious service at 1 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her daughter, Kathy Pailette and husband Larry, of Prairieville; son, Garland Rodriguez Jr. and wife Kim, of Atlanta; sister; three sisters-in-law; four grandchildren, Garland III, Russ, Vanessa and Alex; and two great-grandchildren, Ben and Emma. Preceded in death by her husband, Garland Rodriguez Sr.; and three brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 8923 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
