Mary Edwards
September 9, 1934 — May 5, 2016
Mary "Mae Mae" Spearman Edwards passed away on Thursday, May 5th at 7:41am. She was born in Tremont, Mississippi on September 9, 1934 and was a long time resident of Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Anne Inzer Spearman, her husband, Morris Jurney Edwards, her two sons, Michael Morris and Marcus Spearman Edwards and one granddaughter, Courtney Michelle Edwards.
She is survived by her three remaining grandchildren, Erin Edwards Lotuaco, Amber Edwards Reno, Marcus Ethan Edwards and her eight great-grandchildren.
Mary requested her remains be donated to Tulane for medical research so her family has complied with her request and there will be a memorial service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Saturday, May 21st, at 6:00pm.
