Mary LeJeune Lemoine, born on August 18, 1938, in Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 87.
She is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who cherished her family and built lasting connections with her friends and neighbors throughout her life.
Mary began her career as a social worker and later an office manager for a Dialysis Center. She was deeply committed to her Catholic faith. Her dedication and compassion extended beyond her professional life, as she was actively involved in various ministries within the Catholic Church. Mary was a charter member of St. Louis King of France Parish and participated in the Catholic Daughters, the Altar Society, and the Pastoral Council at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She most recently was an active member of St. George Catholic Parish.
Mary is survived by her children, Marcel (Nancy) Lemoine, Rachel (Steve) Boudreaux and Claire (Mark) Gregory; sister, Suzanne Santopadre; grandchildren: Tyler (Bri) Boudreaux, Danielle (Austin) Hall, Sarah (Brennon) Mason, Lauren Gregory, Madeline Lemoine, and Mary Grace Lemoine; and her great-grandchildren, Rosie Boudreaux, Carleigh Hall, and Henry Mason; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Francis Alvin Lemoine; father, Randolph Charles LeJeune Sr.; mother, Laura Lolita LeJeune; brother, Randolph Charles LeJeune Jr.; and her lifelong friend, Jeanette Mouton Coats.
The family invites you to gather in her memory during visitation at St. George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM, until Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory with a reception to follow at Resthaven Funeral Home.
