Mary Purpera

A resident of Central and a native of DLo, Miss., she died at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 94. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 13, from noon until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by her grandson, Daryl Purpera. She is survived by her husband of 77 years, John Purpera a son, John Purpera Jr. and wife Bobbie a sister, Bernice Freeman five grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonathan Augusta and Lessie Hardin Ainsworth son, Frank Wayne Purpera four sisters, Drucile, Helen, Clovis and Edna Ruth and two brothers, G.B. and J.W.
