Anne Rhodes, a faithful daughter of the Lord Jesus Christ, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born on August 26, 1930, in Marshall, Texas, to James and Ida Cornwall.
After graduating from Marshall High School, Anne spent her life as a homemaker, devoting herself to caring for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She truly had an eye for decorating and was also a talented seamstress. Anne was a member of Aglow International and the Women Praying for Women Organizations. Anne was truly a devout woman; she was a Bible teacher. Her favorite question to ask was, “Do you know Jesus?”
She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Travis Dean Rhodes; her parents, James and Ida Cornwall; her son and daughter-in-love, James and Laura Rhodes; and great-grandchildren, Brantley Travis Feske and Douglas “DW” Walter Feske.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Susanne Feske (Houston, Texas) and Sarah-Lynne (Robert III) McLaughlin (Baton Rouge, Louisiana); grandchildren, Rebecca (Nick) Ladikos (Gulf Breeze, Florida), Caleb (Kelsey) Rhodes (Auburn, Georgia), Rob (Kami) McLaughlin (Round Rock, Texas), Patrick (Mel) McLaughlin (Northlake, Texas), Brandon (Sara) Feske (Houston Texas), and Matthew Feske; and great-grandchildren, Alexa Ladikos, Noah Rhodes, Sophia Rhodes, Lily Rhodes, Bobby McLaughlin, Charlotte McLaughlin, Skyy-Lynn Nagy, and Griffin Feske.
Pallbearers will be Robert McLaughlin, III, Brandon Feske, Caleb Rhodes, Noah Rhodes, Patrick McLaughlin, Rob Mclaughlin, and Nick Ladikos.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to three ministries that were close to Anne’s heart: Lighthouse Family Retreat, INC. (PO Box 117823, Atlanta Georgia, 30368); Women’s Giving Circle (Baton Rouge, LA) and Sid Roth Ministries (PO Box 39222, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28278).
