Merlyn Dicharry

A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Landmark of Baton Rouge. She was 80 and a native of Lutcher. Visiting at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., on Friday from 1 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Howard Adkins, celebrant. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by a daughter, Paula Vicknair and husband Randy; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Donald G. Jr. and Penny Veron, Johnny and Lisa Veron, Courtney Veron and Kent and Carmel Veron; three sisters, Marjorie Martin, Dorothy Guidry and Elaine Tramonte; two brothers, Roy and Ralph Dicharry; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her sisters, Floreine Jacob and Geraldine Remondet; and brothers, Allen, B.J., Gerald, Lloyd, Donald and Carey Dicharry. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and Altar Society. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, P.O. Box 127, Baton Rouge, LA 70821.
