Merville Weston Treigle, Jr., age 79, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022. He was lovingly known as “Twister” by many.
Merv graduated from Baton Rouge High in 1961. He was married to the love of his life, Ina Ann, for 57 wonderful years. He was a kind and generous man, who was willing to help anyone who needed it. He valued his family more than anything else in life, and was always the first to come and the last to leave at any family event.
Merv is survived by his wife, Ina Ann Treigle; children, Tammy Gass (Robert), Stacey Bursavich (Jude), Merville Weston Treigle, III (Lache’), Shane Treigle (Natalie); brothers, Franklin Treigle (Susan), and Ronald Treigle; grandchildren, Joshua Treigle, Jacob Treigle (Tammy), Robert Gass, Jr., Justin Gass (Kory), Kevin Gass, George Bursavich, Austin Bursavich (Amy), Christian Bursavich, Merville “Wes” Treigle, IV (Megan), Chase Treigle, Krysten Arriaga (Joe), Ethan Treigle, and Alex Treigle; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merville “Tommy” Weston Treigle, Sr. and Beulah Marie Treigle.
Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday 10/29/22 from 12 – 2 PM, with a service at 2 PM, and a reception following the burial. The burial will take place immediately following the service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Tunnels to Towers, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, or Wounded Warriors in Merv’s name.
