Michael Goudeau

October 20, 1957 — January 11, 2021

“Pops” Michael Wayne Goudeau, 63 years old, beloved husband of 43 years, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and great uncle, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 11, 2021. Mike is a graduate of Broadmoor High School, retired from Entergy and was a member of Iron Warriors Motorcycle Club. He loved spending time with his Grandkids as well with his family and friends, enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and cruising the coast in his hot rod.  Mike is survived by wife Kara Bitter Goudeau; son Brandon W. Goudeau and wife Monica, grandchildren Brooklyn, Bryson and Brielle Goudeau; daughter Ashley M. Goudeau, grandsons Michael and Nicholas Mercante; sisters Darilyn Murphy, Jean Moore and husband Jerry Moore; mother-in-law Candace Bitter; sister-in-law Teri Thomas and husband Darryl; brother-in-law’s Don Bitter and wife Kara, Paul Bitter and wife Ramona, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Darrell and Mary Goudeau and father-in-law Paul G. Bitter. Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven at 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816 on Friday, Jan 15th from 12:00 noon until services at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Michael W. Goudeau’s name.
