Michael White, Sr.

Michael Ray White, Sr., a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA., passed away at OLOLH on Monday, April 5, 2021, at the age of 67.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. Michael was a retired mechanic. He loved working with his hands, you would often find him in his shed making amazing fleur de lis crosses and lamps to give to his loved ones, he made tables for his home, steps for a friend’s puppy to get on the bed, cabinets, desk, anything that someone would ask him to make or just an idea to make something all out of scraps of old used wood that he would find, he was very talented with his hands. He loved fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a very simple and quiet man, unless he was singing along with Willie Nelson or watching the Saints play football “Who Dat Baby”! He is gone but will never be forgotten. His pain and suffering is no more and was peacefully guided into Heaven by his beloved spot dog, Dixie.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Brenda Dipuma White; daughter, Crystal Lynn White Church and partner Jerron; three sons, Charles Michael “Charlie” White and wife Robin, Edward “E.J.” White and partner James, and Michael “Mikey” White, Jr.; grandchildren, Caiden Michael, Kinsley, Kory Lee, Jase Michael, Kaylee, E.J., Trent, Savannah; great granddaughter, Scarlett; brothers, James C. White, Jr. and wife Eva, and Jan C. White and wife Trudy; brothers-in-laws, Vincent Dipuma, Ricky Dipuma, and Timmy Dipuma; special niece, Jennifer “Boo” Dipuma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James C. White, Sr. and Margie Lee White. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved in-laws, Charlie and Barbara Dipuma.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 9:00 AM until Memorial Services at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
