Monica Waller "Molly" Blair, age 92, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on May 31, 2017.
Monica was a warbride from England. She came to America in 1946 and lived the rest of her life in Baton Rouge. Her home was the central gathering place of the family; always full of love and warm memories. She lived life to the fullest. Monica loved going to Gino's for jazz night and always enjoyed her evening scotch. Monica was a sweet, loving and giving lady who was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest enjoyment was her home and love for flowers.
Monica is survived by her son, Barry Waller, and wife Ruth; daughter, Dianne Caillais Podgorny, and husband Emanuel; her grandchildren, Kristen Duvic and husband Thomas, Michelle Sonnier and husband Tim, Dawn Berry and husband, Brent; step grandchildren Don Arceneaux, Emily Bognar: her great-grandchildren, Brayden, Bari, Lexie, Cali, Rylie, Kendall and Kayleigh; step great grandchildren Cody and Christopher; her brothers, Collin Papworth, John Papworth, and Christopher Papworth; and her sister-in-law Daph Papworth.
Monica is preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Blair, as well as her former husband, Preston Eugene Waller; her parents, Phyllis and Harry Papworth; her brother, Mick Papworth; and her son-in-law, Michael Caillais.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 12:00 PM until funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
