Myrtle Lois Sells, age 83, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on August 20, 2021.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anna Sells Shoptaugh and Mark Charles Shoptaugh, Sr., M.D.; sons, James Barron Sells, Jr., and Frank Burton Sells; grandsons, Mark Charles Shoptaugh Jr., M.D., and wife Jennifer Sinder Shoptaugh, and Matthew James Shoptaugh; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Grace Shoptaugh; and a loving and loyal caretaker and friend, Hilda Ferrer.

Myrtle is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Baron Sells, Sr.; parents, Anna and Frank Wilson; and numerous brothers, sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid, a private graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Joe Deumite, Dr. Lauren Barfield, Hospice of Baton Rouge, and her loyal and loving friend, Hilda Ferrer.
