Pamela “Pam” Knight, born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 28, 1950, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center on Saturday, February 4, 2023, in Baton Rouge at the age of 72.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, JC Stanford Williams, her mother, Clemmie Dell Williams, a sister, Patricia “Pat” Arbo, and a brother, Billy Wayne McGaha.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard Lane Knight, a son, Jeffrey Lane Knight, two granddaughters, Emma Layne Knight and Hannah Marie Knight, and several nieces and nephews.
Prior to being diagnosed with terminal Alzheimer’s disease, Pam enjoyed reading and was an avid at-home baker, especially during holidays. Her most popular desserts were her “famous” almond pound cakes and her pecan pralines. Whether it was playing and laughing or drawing and coloring with her granddaughters, Pam cherished and loved spending time with her family the most. She was a big fan of LSU sports, especially baseball.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. until Celebration of Pam’s Life at 2:30 p.m.
