Paranell Howard

A retired assistant vice president of Chase Bank and a resident of Gonzales, she died at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 68 and a native of Plaisance. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Visiting at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 42021 La. 621, Gonzales, on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Deacon James Morrissey. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by a daughter, Angela Howard Truxillo; two sons, Michael J. Howard and wife Debbie and Mark Joseph Howard; two sisters, Murtis Walden and husband Everett and Marylyn Floyd; a brother, Gary Sonnier and wife Theresa; and a grandson, Tyler Truxillo. Preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Hazel Sonnier; husband, Walter James Howard; brother, Joseph Sonnier; and grandfather and grandmother.
