Patricia Melancon

Patricia S. Melancon, 75, a resident of Pierre Part, gained her wings on March 22, 2021.  She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family.  She was married to the love of her life, Roger Melancon, for 54 years. She loved life, her family, and friends. It was always a fun and enjoyable time with her. She dedicated her life to her family and always had a kind word to say.

Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Roger W. Melancon; two daughters, Wendy Duhon and husband Benji, and Tara Melancon; three grandchildren, Douglas Ferris, and Lyndsey Trahan and husband Cody, and Trent Threeton; great-grandson, Tristan Trahan; sister Faye Prendergast; in-laws, Mike and Sheri Melancon, Lynn and Lisa Melancon, Terry and Vickie Melancon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Trent Melancon; brother Roland Schillaci, Jr.; biological mother, Josephine Schillaci; parents, Roland and Josephine Russo Schillaci; grandparents, Biaggio and Sarah Schillaci; in-laws, Roger and Ernestine Dewitt Melancon; brother-in-law, Frankie Prendergast.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers are Douglas Ferris, Trent Threeton, Benji Duhon, Cody Trahan, Shelly Melancon, and Jake Daigle.
