Pauline Burt

A resident of The Retirement Center in Baton Rouge, she died at 3:45 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 88 and a native of Cleveland, Miss. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. until service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted the Rev. Merlin Liverman. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by a daughter, Blaine Elbourne and husband Gary; a son, Jack Burt Jr. and wife Margaret; a brother, Bennie Beach and wife Pearl; five grandchildren, Jack G. Burt, Keith H. Burt, Terri Hotard, Rachel Justus and Scott Elbourne; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Burt Sr. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 4196, Monroe, LA 71211-4196 or charity of choice.
