Priscilla Bourgeois

Priscilla Barbay Bourgeois was a very loving, caring and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Friend.

Priscilla a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away July 20, 2021 at the age of 75. She was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School Class of 1964.

She was a very devout Catholic her whole life, She retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System after more than 30 years of service.

Priscilla is survived by her husband, Thomas Bourgeois; 3 children, Stephanie McGowan (James), Rebecca Cockrell (Chris) and Brian Bourgeois (Meghan); 5 grandchildren, Kristen Extine (Christian), Canon Cockrell, Jamie McGowan, Matt McGowan and Maizy Bourgeois; 3 great-grandchildren, Layne Edwards, Cruz Cockrell, and Gage Extine and her sisters-in-law, Jan Fontenot and Rosie Bourgeois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and James Barbay; mother-in-law, Edna Lyons; and brothers-in-law, Thomas Fontenot and Charles Bourgeois.

Visiting hours will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 9am until services at 10am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Funeral Home.
