Rhonda Thedford Soileau, age 58, born in Victoria, Texas and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 4:05 p.m. surrounded by her children and brother.
Rhonda was a devoted mother, wife, sister, and friend. She was a graduate of Industrial High School and member of the Texas A&M Class of 1989. Rhonda was a teacher for many years before starting a company, Simplified Process Solutions, with her late husband, Carl. Together, they built a wonderful life for themselves and their children, whom they both loved unconditionally. Above all, Rhonda was a faithful follower of her savior, Jesus Christ, whom she heavily relied on.
Rhonda is survived by her two children, Charles Soileau and Claire Soileau of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; brother, Bryant Thedford and his wife, Deanna of Seabrook, Texas; her brothers-in-law, Charles Soileau and his wife, Gayle of Baton Rouge and Christopher Soileau and his wife, Lisa of Denham Springs; her sister-in-law Connie Loupe of Baton Rouge; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years Creighton Carl Soileau; brother-in-law, Rene Loupe; sister-in-law, Cindy Soileau; parents, Darrell and Minnie Thedford.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Thursday, July 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visiting hours will also take place at St. George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge on Friday, July 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the mass at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her brothers-in-law Charles Soileau and Chris Soileau; long term friends Benny Brouillette, Scott Dickie, and Neal Fuller; Hayden Mixon, Will Hopkins, and Micah Podorski.
Rhonda held a special place in her heart for those impacted by ALS and their families. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Steve Gleason Foundation in Carl and Rhonda’s name.
The family of Rhonda wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge.
