Richard Daniel

A resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 4:18 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at his home. He was 77. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home chapel, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Jan. 9, from noon until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by Dr. John Goodwin and Dr. Jarrett Banks. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Mary Jane Doughty Daniel; daughter, Laura Coats and husband Kyle; son, Richard Carlton Daniel Jr.; and two grandchildren, Caroline and James Coats. Preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Blanche and Richard Henry Daniel; sister, Margaret Louise Brown; and brother, Barry Daniel. Special thanks to Dr. Thomas Quaid and St. Joseph Hospice.
