Ricky J. Dipuma, born on October 4, 1958, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026 at Baton Rouge General Hospital at the age of 67, surrounded by the love of his family.
Ricky spent his life working as a heavy equipment operator, a profession he took great pride in. He was known for his strong work ethic, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. Nothing brought Ricky more joy than spending time with those he loved and creating lasting memories with them.
He is survived by his brothers, Vincent Dipuma Jr. and Timmy Dipuma; his sister, Brenda Dipuma White; his nieces, Amber Barton, Jennifer Dipuma, Brittany Hughes, and Crystal Church; and his nephews, Jamie Dipuma, Charlie White, and Jeremy Dipuma.
Ricky also leaves behind his numerous cherished great-nieces and great-nephews, who brought immeasurable joy to his life and held a special place in his heart.
Dylon Pickering held a uniquely special place in Ricky’s heart. Though he was his great-nephew by relation, Ricky welcomed Dylon into his home and raised him as his own son, providing him with unconditional love, guidance, support, and the steadfast presence of a father. Their bond was one of deep love and devotion that will forever be treasured.
Ricky was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Barbara Duval Dipuma; his father, Vincent Dipuma Sr.; and his brother-in-law, Michael Ray White.
Ricky will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, kindness, and the love he freely gave to those around him. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched. Though he may be gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, July 11, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with a Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
