Robert Trent Hagen, better known as Bob Hagen to family and friends and “Popeye” to his seven grandchildren, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife Deborah Berger Estevens Hagen; his sons David (Skyy) Hagen from Utah and John Hagen from Georgia; and his step-children Ryan (Genna) Estevens, and Leigh (Michael) Marvin from Central, Louisiana; his mother Barbara Germany; his brother Ray (Belinda) Hagen and their two children, Heather and Joseph of Jena, Louisiana; and his aunt Jan Cornwell (Frank Morris) from Longview, Texas. He is also survived by his seven precious grandchildren Hope Hagen from Utah, Jacob Hagen from Gonzales, Louisiana, Aaron and Isabella Estevens, Nicholas, Sam and Walker Marvin from Central, Louisiana.

Bob is preceded in death by his father Olney Hagen; beloved step-father Clyde Germany; his aunt Sue Ellen Harmon; and his maternal grandparents Era Marie (Snooks) and Ermon Ray (Corny) Cornwell.

The family extends specials thanks to Dr Jonathan Weldon and Dr. I. Joseph Albergamo at The Baton Rouge Clinic for their expert care, the staff of Landmark of Baton Rouge, especially Marissa - the best caregiver in the world, and Skottie LaCroix and the entire staffs of The Crossing at Clarity Hospice, and Resthaven Funeral Home.

He was highly patriotic, a man of great integrity who loved to make people laugh. He was the life of the party and always tried to make people comfortable. He will be dearly missed.

There will be no services at this time.
