It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Walsh on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the age of 83. Bob was born on February 15, 1942, in Portland, Maine. He was raised in Baton Rouge, LA and graduated from Redemptorist High School, then he joined the Army and was stationed in Ethiopia, Africa.
Bob worked most of his life in the Commercial HVAC business and loved it. His passion and hobby was fixing anything that was broken and building anything with wood (including additions to a house, decks, pergolas, etc.). He was an avid fan of LSU football and baseball and enjoyed attending the football games to watch “his tigers.” He was very involved in serving his Church as a layman at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, where he touched many lives with his dedication to the Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Linda George Walsh; his 3 children, Tracy Walsh Escoe (Kenneth), Jim Walsh, and Cynthia Walsh Hewitt; his 3 stepchildren, Jamie Bordelon, Taylor Bordelon (Sara), and Alyse Bordelon; his sisters, Diana Marcinka (John), Sharon Seliskar (Pete), and Judy O’Brien; his ex-wife, Ann Walsh; and his grandchildren, Austin Escoe, Ian Escoe, Anna Kathryn Escoe, Tristen Escoe, Evan Walsh, and Joseph Bordelon.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Roy; mother, Anna Ward; sister, Linda Avery; and his grandson, Bailen Walsh.
Visitation will be held at St. Jean Vianny Catholic Church, 16166 S Harrells Ferry Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Garden of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
