Ronald Wayne Amoroso Iii

May 11, 1989 — May 24, 2022

Ronald Wayne Joseph Amoroso III was called to his heavenly home on May 24, 2022.

Ronny’s lasting message to his loving family and friends can be summed up by Jesus’ words in John 20:29: “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” A life-long resident of Baton Rouge, he was a graduate of Most Blessed Sacrament School (’03) and St. Michael High School (’07). In 2012, he graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Construction Management and has worked at the John H. Carter Company in Baton Rouge for the past several years. In 2014 Ronny married his high school sweetheart Diana Schmitt with whom he had two beautiful children, Ellis and Evelyn. He was a man of strong faith and fiercely cared for everyone in his life.  Ronny never met a stranger and had a knack for making everyone feel welcome in his presence. His smile and dance moves would light up any room. He loved the outdoors and working with his hands to build and fix anything. There was no job that Ronny could not do. He was a man of determination and he never gave up.

Ronny’s memory will forever be cherished by his family, his parents Ronny Jr. and Allison Amoroso, his brother Blaine and sister-in-law Brittany Amoroso, his sister Lauren and brother-in-law Conner Jones; his grandmother, Mae Wethey and his grandfathers, Ronald Wayne Amoroso, Sr. and Norbert R. Landry, Jr.; his father and mother-in-law, Don and DeLynn Schmitt; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Donny and Megan Schmitt and David and Dana Madaffari; his nieces and nephews: Veda, Vincent, Dean, Vera, Stabiler, Luke, Nora, and Reid; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Rogers Landry and his aunts, Angela Gauthier and Angel Amoroso.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and will continue at Most Blessed Sacrament Church on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. until a Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
