Rosemary Gaspard

Rosemary Beth Floyd Gaspard, 86, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Rosemary was born on November 17, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Frank and Myrtle Floyd. She shared many cherished years with her lifelong companion, Craig Dickey. Rosemary found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her family, bowling, dancing, working on puzzles, and sharing a good meal. Her daily outings to Piccadilly were a treasured part of her routine and brought her much happiness.

Rosemary leaves behind her lifelong companion, Craig Dickey; sons, Michael Gaspard Sr. and Matthew Gaspard; grandchildren, Michael Gaspard, Jr., Ryan Gaspard, April Gremillion (Justin), Christina Boudreaux (Dustin), Virginia Strickland, and John Toms; as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Her family will remember her with love and cherish the many memories they shared.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Myrtle Floyd; former husband, Malcolm Gaspard; and son, Mark Gaspard.

The family extends special thanks to everyone involved in Rosemary’s care, including her devoted sitter, Ursula, the staff of Ochsner Medical Center of Baton Rouge O’Neal Lane, the team at Clarity Hospice, especially Nurse Terry for their compassion, kindness, and support, as well as staff at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Rosemary’s life on Monday, August 10, 2026. All will be welcomed at 9:00 AM until Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
