June 9, 1923 — March 23, 2009
A retired employee with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, she died at 11:40 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home. She was 85, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Picayune, Miss. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, March 26, from 10 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her son, Jerry Lee; sister, Mae Seal; brother, C.L. Thompson; three grandchildren, Danielle Martrain and husband Jeff, Dillon Lee and Jessica Lee; and three great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Martrain, Hunter Martrain and Courtney Martrain. Preceded in death by her sister, Clara Wheat; brother, James Thompson; and parents, William and Dora Thompson.
