Ruby Mcallister

A homemaker and resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009. She was 92 and a native of Mississippi. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at United Funeral Services, New Albany, Miss., on Thursday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Burial in McAllister Family Cemetery. Survived by her two daughters, Virginia Rice, and Margaret Mitchell and husband Ed; sister, Zula King; brother, Marion Whiteside; five grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert McAllister; parents, Leonard and Ora Whiteside; and three brothers. She was a member of Worldwide Church of God.
