Rufus Howell Jr.

A native of Florida and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was 62, a former employee of the former State Times and Morning Advocate for 13 years. and a veteran of the U.S. Army Special Forces. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12, from 9 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Louis Richardson. Burial at Port Hudson. Survivors include his wife, Diann Howell 2 daughters, Stacy Howell and Lindsey Howell son, Greg Howell and wife Beth sister, Brenda Howell brothers and sistersinlaw, David and Elaine Bourgeois, Marvin and Wanda Darby, Joe and Gayle Stewart 2 nieces, Michelle Hebert and Melissa Bishop and 7 grandchildren, Cole, Noah, Madison, MacKenzie, Colby, Rhett and Isabella. Preceded in death by his parents, Rufus C. Howell, Sr. and Crena E. Howell, and niece, Melanie Kilcrease.
