Ruth Adcock

Ruth Ann Adcock, age 52, a native of Baton Rouge, passed away December 30, 2022. She was a hero to many through organ donation. Even though born with a birth defect, Ruth Ann was able to enjoy a wonderful livelihood. She graduated from Port Allen High School in 1989 & was a member of Arc. Her Hobbies were spending time with family and friends, watching TV, bowling & eating crawfish.

Ruth Ann is survived by her niece, Emily Adcock; niece, Hailey Humphries; sister-in-law, Leisa Adcock; her Uncle Bill & his wife DeeAnna Bruce of Williamsburg, VA,  Uncle Jimmie Adcock of Lakeland, FL; cousins Kerry & her husband Eric Chou, Brian, Jacob & Audrey, Billy Bruce & his wife, Sarah, Trevor Bruce, all of Virginia; Aunt Shirley Bruce; cousins Tim Bruce & his wife, Abby, and daughter Haley of Florida; cousin Tommy Bruce & Suzanne Bruce, Landon, of Tallahassee, FL; cousins Susan, Leigh & Drew of Lakeland, Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Marie Bruce Adcock, her sister, Melanie Adcock Humphries, her father, Ben Adcock, her brother, Benjie Adcock & her brother-in-law, Steve Humphries of Baton Rouge, as well as grandparents Tom & Marie Bruce & Andrew Burt & Susie Adcock, of Bartow, Florida & Uncle Thomas “Buddy” Bruce.  A Graveside Service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at a later date.
