Ruth Falcon McMillan

Ruth Falcon McMillan, known to friends and family as Ruthie and Mama Ruth, born June 10, 1925, in Carville, LA passed away peacefully on July 12^th, at the age of 98 with her loving daughter at her side.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward D. McMillan, Sr.; their son, Kirk Patrick McMillan; their grandson, Edward D. “Tre” McMillan, III; parents, Aimee and Leufroy Falcon and her 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Sheryle M. Bonin and husband Patrick, and sons Edward D. McMillan, Jr. and wife Traci, Richard J. McMillan and wife Connie, Jeffrey J. McMillan and wife Kerri, and Todd F. McMillan; 12 grandchildren Patrick “Rob” Bonin, Jr., Brandi B. Dooley, Danielle B. Amaya, and Shelley B. Edgerton, Devon M. Foster, Trenton McMillan, Tani R. Calvert, Richard “Jamie” McMillan, Jr., Jeffrey McMillan, Jr., Madeleine M. Bolick, Grant McMillan, and Tyler Marino; 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a true southern lady that knew her way around the kitchen creating many scrumptious dishes such as crawfish etouffee and seafood gumbo to name a couple.  She loved attending the many activities of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her spirit will always fly high!  Even as her memory left her, she enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends.

Pallbearers are Richard McMillan, Jr, Drake Foster, Kirk Foster, David Amaya, Trace McMillan, and Trenton McMillan.  Honorary pallbearers are Jack Bonin, Wesley Bonin, and Tyler Marino.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 22^nd at 2:30 pm at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA.  A public visitation will begin at 12:30 pm.
