Ryan Joseph Mendoza passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the age of 44. He was born July 18, 1981, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Carol Miller Mendoza and Thomas Mendoza. A class of 2000 graduate of St. Amant High School, he went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Business from Southeastern University. Following this, Ryan found himself working at John H. Carter in Gonzales, Louisiana. He played football from a young boy starting out with Galvez Tigers, Galvez Middle School Pirates and St. Amant High School Gators. Ryan will be remembered as a thoughtful, bright and adventurous man whose smile could light up any room and he had a great laugh! His fun-loving nature extended to his hobbies. He could often be found riding motorcycles and his jet ski. He was an avid LSU Tigers fan and loved cheering them on with his friends and family. He chose to be an organ donor.

Ryan is survived by his loving parents; sister, Leslie Mendoza LeBlanc (Timothy); and nephew, Larry André, IV; uncles; aunts; Godmother, Patricia M Korfhage; and Godfather David Mendoza.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jimmy Mendoza; paternal grandmother, Francis Duhon Mendoza; maternal grandfather, C. Dorman Miller; and maternal grandmother, Virginia Aucoin Miller.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Ryan’s life on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home. All will be welcomed for visitation at 9:00 AM with Memorial Services beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
