Sarah Lott Boudreaux passed away on Monday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born July 29, 1946, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to George Lott and Rebecca Norris Lott. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and received her master’s degree in education from Louisiana State University, where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Sarah’s career as a teacher had an immeasurable impact on countless children she was able to educate throughout the years.
She was a devout member of Jefferson Baptist Church, and upon moving to Georgia to be closer to her family, she attended Kingsland First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Myrta Whitehead and her husband Bert, and Joel Erwin and her husband Bobby.
Sarah is survived by her loving son, Arthur J. “Jay” Boudreaux and his wife Sundy; and her beloved grandchildren Hayden Boudreaux, Brogan Boudreaux and Samara Padilla. She is also survived by her niece and good friend, Roberta Serrett; as well as numerous other loving other family and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge all of Sarah’s friends who have supported and accompanied her, Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, Jefferson Baptist Church and Camden County Senior Center.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:30 a.m. The family will attend a private gravesite at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
