Sarah Jane "Janie' Fowler, 78, of Baton Rouge, passed away on April 11, 2023. Janie was born on January 5, 1945 to Hubert and Exced Calhoun of Delhi, Louisiana Janie moved to Baton Rouge upon graduating from Oak Grove High School.

Janie met Mike Fowler in 1977. They were married in 1980 and went on to have one son, Michael "Blake" Fowler.

Janie was predeceased by her parents Hubert and Exced Calhoun. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 42 years (Mike Fowler), son and daughter in law (Blake and Lauren Fowler), grandson (Brooks Fowler), and sister (Louise Maggio).

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Janie's life on Thursday, April 20th at Parkview Baptist Church (11795 Jefferson Hwy). Visitation will take place from 9:30-10:30am; a full service will begin at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donation to Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area.
