A longtime Baton Rouge resident, Shirley Guinn Maughan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at age 69. She was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Aug. 21, was from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 22, from 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Bishop J. Rodney Baum. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She will be greatly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and John Robinson, and Deane and Scott Frazier; sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Jr. and Cindy Maughan, and James and Jena Maughan; a sister, Nora Treadwell Perez; a brother, Henry Leroy Guinn; 11 grandchildren, Courtney and William Robinson, Emily and Graham Frazier, Reagan Hayes, Trey, Matthew and Morgan Maughan, and Pierce, Ellis and Quentin Maughan; and a great-grandchild, Henry Hayes. Preceded in death by her parents, Ava and James Guinn; and a brother, James E. Guinn. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
