Sid Webb, Sr.

Sid Webb was welcomed into heaven on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at 10:35 p.m. He was 84, a former employee of Borden Dairy and Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Sunday, Jan. 11, from 11 a.m. until funeral in the chapel at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Jim Rentz. Interment in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and David Smith and Debbie and R.M. Jones; son, Sid Webb Jr.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Cherry Webb; grandson, Jason Webb; three brothers, Conner, Windom and Elton Webb; and sister, Nita McAlister.
