Sumphan Panyanuvong
July 13, 1941 — April 27, 2009
An automobile mechanic and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 6:30 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 67 and a native of Laos. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, May 1, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, May 2, from noon until religious service at 2:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Survived by his mother, Khampan Panyanuvong; two daughters, Mel and Thouk Panyanuvong; two sons, Singh and Tao Panyanuvong; two sisters, nine brothers and eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Prayad Panyanuvong.
