Marty Tubbs

Marty Tubbs passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the age of 70. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Thomas and Dolores Tubbs.

Marty was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, fishing, running rabbit dogs, and tending to his garden. Above all, he truly enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas James Tubbs and Dolores Anne Tubbs, and his brother, Perry Wayne Tubbs.

Marty is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Wanda Sue Tubbs; his daughter, Christy Tubbs; his sons, Jason Tubbs and Timmy Tubbs (Brittany); grandchildren, Peighton Tubbs (Gabe), Olivia Tubbs, and Natalie Tubbs; his great-granddaughter, Bunnie Tubbs; and Sue’s best friend, Tammy Ezell.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff from the Hospice of Baton Rouge and Lane Regional Medical Center for their care and support during this difficult time.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memories.
