An electrical instrumentation engineer and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center due to complications from ALS Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was 56 and a native of Sulphur. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Dec. 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Arlene Carroll; father, Jack Carroll, of Sulphur; two sons, Sean and Scott Carroll, both of Baton Rouge; sister, Susan Wright and husband Kirk, of Sulphur; three brothers, Bennie James Carroll and wife Autumn and Bob Carroll and wife Lenore, all of Sulphur, and Rick Carroll and wife Jan, of Seabrook, Texas; mother-in-law, Helen Trahan, of Sulphur; and uncle and aunt, Jim and Peggy Morel, of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by his mother, Queeda Casey Carroll; and father-in-law, Sanfred Trahan. He was a member of Foster Road Church of Christ.
